JF Designs updates ThistleTheatre Puppet Show Web Site with New 2004 Schedule
Seattle, WA June 4, 2004 -– The Thistle Theatre (www.thistletheatre.org) team have created fabulous puppet theatre experiences for your family to attend. Each Thistle Theatre production brings together professional puppeteers, artists and musicians to create unique & diverse puppet theatre productions for the entire family. We offer productions that tour or are part of a puppet theatre season. Either way, the same level of artistry is presented.
Thistle Theatre's fabulous season of Tantalizing tales! This season Thistle Theatre is premiering our newest Japanese story, “The Magic Tea-Kettle.” Integrating Japanese language and culture into the production, schools and organizations focused on Asian-studies will not want to miss this show. . The music of songwriter Sue Ennis, the puppets by artist Brian Kooser and the entire Thistle Theatre team have created fabulous theatre experiences for your family to attend.
We specialize in Bunraku, a variation of the ancient Japanese style of puppetry. The puppeteers are dressed head-to-toe in black and operate the puppets from behind. Good storytelling, realistic movement and excellent manipulation are the hallmarks of Thistle Theatre productions.
The Bunraku is fascinating to watch & each production has many levels of understanding. Over half the season ticket holders are adults, and not all of them bring children! Quality theatre has no age limit. I hope you will consider Thistle Theatre for your entertainment needs.
